    All, societies and nations define themselves by their ongoing creative arts and cultural activities, for example languages, music, debating, images and writing.

    Now is the right time for Australian Cultural Policy to assert that culture is at our core, our foundation, it forms the frameworks of civil society.

    To exist and survive in and beyond our increasingly fluid and interesting times we must understand this; we make culture, culture holds us.
