Meta-Meta

Meta-Meta was a practitioner-initiated international intercultural creative professionals retreat. During Meta-Meta a curated group of mid-career professionals working across Australia, Indonesia and South-East Asia met with other intercultural innovators who work across faiths, genders, nationalities, economies, cultures of origin, generations and abilities. Meta-Meta utilised a range of innovative learning and exchange formats, including Open Space, bilingual presentations, studio-tours and in-event collaborations. The EOI-driven event was a peer-acclaimed sold-out success (oversubscribed by 250%).

Cool Water for Burning Questions

Cool Water for Burning Questions is the publication from Meta-Meta.

Meta-Meta is a retreat for practitioners in community cultural development, intercultural and socially engaged practice. The inaugural Meta-Meta event was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2012. I co-directed the event, and edited the publication.

Cool Water for Burning Questions documents the themes and questions explored by Meta-Meta, and includes many images and quotes from the event itself.
