Ben Fox is a public advocate of creativity with a background in design, performance, and festivals.
Ben has worked as an Artistic Director for organisations and projects in Australia and Asia, including regional and remote Australia. He develops opportunities for dynamic interaction, culturally safe spaces, emergent leadership, constructive intercultural work and hopeful futures.
With a professional background in both mechanical engineering and physical performance Ben has extensive experience in both international and remote Australian contexts. The hallmarks of his work are innovation, effective systems for replicable success and cultural literacy.
Ben also loves riding bicycles, driving bobcats and ‘simply messing about in boats’.
He is a current member of the Creative Council for the Minister for the Arts and Cultural Events in the ACT. The Minister’s Creative Council advises the ACT Government on arts and cultural sector issues relevant to policy development.
Ben lived and worked in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands 2008-2011, and was the Artistic Director of the Regional Arts Australia Summit: Arts & Edges 2012-2014.
